Connemara Mining Finds Zinc And Lead At Stonepark Project In Ireland

LONDON (Alliance News) - Connemara Mining Co PLC on Wednesday said it identified mineral resources at the Stonepark zinc project, located in Limerick, Ireland.

The gold and zinc exploration company said inferred mineral resource at Stonepark project totalled 5.1 million tonnes of zinc and lead, occurring at depths from 190 meters to 395 meters.

Connemara said the most recent drill hole intersected verified one of the high-grade zones within the Stonepark mineral resource estimate. The drilling was undertaken by the company's joint venture partner Group Eleven Resources Corp.

The company said it aims to provide an improved geological information prior to expanded 2019 drill programme.

"We have reviewed the targeting strategies proposed by Group Eleven and are supportive of their big think approach as it applies to the Limerick basin," said Connemara Chief Executive Patrick Cullen.

"Connemara has already contributed to its share of the costs for the 2018 exploration programme, including ground-based geophysics at various targets across the block," added Cullen.

Connemara shares were trading flat on Wednesday at 2.05 pence each.
