(Alliance News) - CelLBxHealth PLC on Wednesday announced that it has signed a new statement of work with "a US-based pharmaceutical company," under the parties' existing master services agreement.
Shares in CelLBxHealth were down 6.3% at 0.87 pence that afternoon in London. However, they had opened 3.2% higher.
The Guildford, England-based biotechnology company said the SOW is worth approximately USD65,000. It will cover the processing of approximately 100 patient samples using its Parsortix platform to isolate and harvest circulating tumour cells for downstream molecular analysis, including mRNA analysis.
CelLBxHealth said the additional contract shows continued engagement with this "established pharmaceutical customer," which further demonstrates Parsortix's value in oncology research and drug development. It said this supports its focus on expanding biopharmaceutical partnerships and recurring commercial opportunities.
"Parsortix's unique, label-free microfluidic technology enriches and recovers intact CTCs, preserving valuable cellular material for further molecular characterisation," CelLBxHealth said. "This capability provides pharmaceutical researchers with access to tumour-derived cells from a simple blood draw, supporting biomarker discovery, translational research and a deeper understanding of cancer biology."
"We are pleased to expand our relationship with our established US pharmaceutical partner," commented Executive Chair Jan Groen. "This additional agreement demonstrates the value of Parsortix in enabling advanced molecular analysis while reinforcing growing commercial demand, repeat business opportunities, and our strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth within the biopharmaceutical sector."
