LONDON (Alliance News) - The European Commission has given the thumbs up to Berry Global Group Inc's takeover of RPC Group PLC, Berry said Thursday.
This follows similar antitrust clearances in the US and South Africa. Last week, some 90% of packaging firm RPC's shareholders backed the takeover.
Berry will pay 793 pence per share for rival packaging business RPC in a GBP3.34 billion deal.
RPC shares were 0.2% lower on Thursday at a price of 788.60 pence each.
