BCB Holdings Seeks New Belize Resort Island Buyer As Deal Falls Through

4th Feb 2014 18:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - BCB Holdings Tuesday said it is engaging with other potential buyers of Caye Chapel, a resort island in Belize, after a conditional agreement with Yumi Ltd fell through.

"The agreement with Yumi Limited did not complete and the company is now engaging with other potential purchasers for Caye Chapel," BCB Holdings said in a statement, without saying why the deal collapsed.

On August 27, 2013, BCB said it had signed a conditional agreement to sell Caye Chapel for USD30.0 million to Yumi, a British Virgin Islands company funded by private equity.

BCB shares Tuesday closed at 13.00 pence, down 1.00 pence, or 7.1%.
