(Alliance News) - Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC on Wednesday maintained its annual guidance, as higher sales, driven by its Valhalla Coupe, steered the company to a narrowed loss.
The Gaydon, England-based luxury carmaker reported a pretax loss of GBP77.1 million for the third quarter ended September 30, narrowed from GBP111.9 million a year earlier. For the first nine months of 2026, pretax loss narrowed to GBP231.3 million from GBP252.7 million a year earlier.
Revenue rose 36% to GBP388.7 million in the third quarter from GBP285.2 million, while nine-month revenue increased 38% to GBP1.02 billion from GBP739.6 million.
Gross margin improved to 37.4% in the third quarter from 29.0%, and to 35.2% for the nine-month period from 28.3%. Free cash outflow narrowed to GBP27.6 million in the quarter from GBP94.0 million, and to GBP225.2 million for the first nine months from GBP415.0 million.
Total wholesale volumes - meaning cars sold through dealerships - for the first nine months rose 12% to 3,762 from 3,352 a year earlier. Aston Martin said the increase was primarily driven by around 350 Valhalla Coupe deliveries within its Specials division.
Aston Martin maintained its 2026 guidance, expecting full-year wholesale volumes to be similar to 2025 and gross margin to improve to the high 30s percentage range.
Chief Executive Adrian Hallmark said: "Our year-to-date 2026 performance demonstrates tangible and consistent progress towards the financial transformation of Aston Martin. Valhalla deliveries, and the benefits of our transformation programme, have lifted gross margin to 35%, while free cash outflow almost halved as we move towards our goal of cash generation.
"We expect this momentum to continue into [the fourth quarter] and beyond, in line with our unchanged full year 2026 guidance and outlook."
Shares in Aston Martin, which was demoted from the FTSE 250 index in September, were down 1.5% to 37.46p per share on Wednesday afternoon in London.
