LONDON (Alliance News) - Asiamet Resources Ltd said Thursday it has intersected a "broad" zone of copper mineralisation at the Beutong project in Indonesia.
The company said hole BEU0900-08, drilled to 607 metres, found a broad interval of high-grade copper-gold from near the surface at the Beutong East porphyry deposit.
"The current program of expansion and infill drilling at Beutong comprises approximately 8 holes totalling 4,000 metres of diamond core of which 3 holes totalling 767.5 metres have been completed to date," the company said.
The company added the potential for the expansion of the Beutong resource remains "significant".
Shares in the mining company were trading up 0.5% at 11.94 pence each.
