LONDON (Alliance News) - Asiamet Resources Ltd on Tuesday said it has continued to see high-grade copper mineralisation from the testing taking place at the Beruang Kanan Main copper project in Indonesia's Central Kalimantan region.
The company said the most recent testing on the area, covering 14 drill holes, showed strong copper mineralisation in the BK044 zone, along with further high-grade copper mineralisation in the BK058 zone.
The copper grades in the BK044 zone were up to 5.9% in certain anomalous portions, while grades at BK058 stretched to 3.5%.
"Asiamet is very pleased with these latest drill results from BKM. The two higher-grade zones of copper mineralisation recently identified within the deposit are showing good continuity, and the shallow, high grades are outstanding. These highly positive attributes provide an opportunity for maximizing revenue early in a mine's life when paying back development capital," said Tony Manini, Asiamet's chief executive.
Asiamet shares were down 8.2% to 1.40 pence on Tuesday.
