Argos Launches Red, White And Blue Fridays Leading To Up Black Friday

6th Nov 2015 12:33

LONDON (Alliance News) - Digital retailer Argos Friday said it is launching Red, White and Blue Fridays in the run up to the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday, as part of its Christmas campaign designed to "put pounds back in British shoppers' pockets".

Argos, which is owned by Home Retail Group PLC, is launching sales on each of the Fridays leading to Black Friday so that customers can begin their Christmas shopping now and spread it over several weeks rather than over one weekend.

Kicking off on November 6, the retailer is offering deals including 3 for 2 on all toys and the first of five one-day market-beating deals, where it releases one popular product at "the best price on the UK market" for one day only.

It will also offer the difference to customers if they find the deals cheaper elsewhere.

All deals will be serviced by the new fast track same-day home delivery or store pick-up services.

The sales will occur on each of the three Fridays leading up to Black Friday, which this year is on November 27.

"Christmas shopping is stressful enough without doing it all in one weekend - that's why we want to make every Friday a 'feel-good' one with many fantastic deals every single week until Christmas. We will ensure every Brit has a chance to put more pounds in their pockets," Argos Managing Director David Robinson said in a statement.

Shares in Home Retail were trading down 0.9% at 107.78 pence Friday afternoon.
