(Alliance News) - Amaroq Ltd on Thursday said it has completed and commissioned the flotation recovery circuit at its Nalunaq gold mine in Greenland, marking the completion of phase 2 development and supporting its full-year production targets.
The Greenland-focused mine developer said the flotation circuit has been installed and is now operational, with the processing plant running at design specification.
The gravity recovery and flotation recovery circuits are operating together, and the first gold concentrate has already been produced and bagged alongside regular dore gold bar production.
Amaroq said the new flotation circuit is expected to increase overall gold recovery rates to around 90% to 95%, from the 50% to 70% range achieved under the previous gravity-only process. The company said this will materially enhance gold production from the same ore feed.
Gold-bearing tailings, containing around 6 grams per tonne of gold and previously returned to the mine since first production in November 2024, will also be reprocessed to recover additional gold.
Chief Executive Officer Eldur Olafsson said the commissioning of the flotation circuit was a significant milestone that increased confidence in the company's annual guidance.
Amaroq reiterated its 2026 gold production guidance of 25,000 to 35,000 ounces and confirmed first-half production is expected to be between 7,000 and 10,000 ounces.
Shares in Amaroq were 2.6% higher at 85.19 pence in London on Thursday afternoon.
