All Leisure Group Aided By Late Bookings In Final Quarter

18th Dec 2015 12:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - All Leisure Group PLC on Friday said it now expects to report "broadly neutral" pretax profit for the year ended October 31, having previously expected a small loss.

Trading conditions have been challenging throughout the year ended October 31, according to All Leisure, affecting its tours and cruise divisions. However, there was a slight improvement in trading in the final quarter, the company said, driven by better late bookings for departure in September and October.

"Trading conditions are expected to remain very challenging, especially in view of the escalating conflict in the Middle East and recent acts of terrorism, and the effect these events may have on consumers' propensity to travel," the company said.

Unaudited results show revenue of GBP127.3 million for the year ended October 31, versus GBP138.9 million the prior year. The company's "broadly neutral" pretax profit measures up against a pretax loss of GBP7.2 million the prior year.

The stock was untraded on Friday, having closed at 5.75 pence on Thursday.
