Alfa Financial "on track" as first-half revenue increases

3rd Sep 2026 12:58

(Alliance News) - Alfa Financial Software Holdings PLC on Thursday said it expects to meet its full-year targets despite lower revenue in the software engineering business, and delays impacting delivery, in the first half of 2026.

Alfa Financial, a London-based software provider for the automotive, equipment and asset finance industries, said revenue in the first six months grew 4% to GBP65.1 million, from GBP62.5 million a year earlier, underpinned by higher subscription revenue.

Pretax profit fell 15% to GBP18.2 million, from GBP21.5 million a year earlier. Sales, general and administrative expenses rose to GBP21.1 million from GBP18.8 million.

Subscription revenue increased 14% to GBP24.1 million, from GBP21.2 million, while software engineering revenue fell 17% to GBP8.6 million, from GBP10.3 million. Delivery revenue grew 5% to GBP32.4 million, from GBP31.0 million.

Alfa Financial said the early stages of the sales pipeline were "unaffected by macroeconomic uncertainty" and that it was pleased with the overall strength of the late-stage pipeline.

However, it noted delays in moving projects into signed contracts, prompting the company to slightly reduce delivery revenue expectations for the year. Alfa Financial said it hoped to offset this with improved software engineering revenues.

The company said that it was "on track to meet full-year expectations".

Chief Executive Officer Andrew Denton highlighted the importance of technology for the company's future growth.

"Looking ahead, we are developing our approach to artificial intelligence and see the technology as an important accelerator of our strategy that will reduce friction, grow our addressable market, bring more customers onto Alfa Systems more quickly and support further growth in recurring subscription revenues," Denton said.

Shares in Alfa Financial Software were up 3.6% at 168.20 pence in London on Thursday.
