AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Physiomics wins deal; DeepVerge eyes cash raise

12th Oct 2022 11:18

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Wednesday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Physiomics PLC, up 27% at 2.68 pence, 12-month range 2.00p-7.25p. The oncology consultant wins an agreement to work with Cancer Research UK. It will use its modelling capabilities to support the Cancer Research-sponsored early phase clinical development of ALETA-001, a candidate for the treatment of blood cancers developed by Aleta Biotherapeutics.

----------

Invinity Energy Systems PLC, up 6.3% at 26.05 pence, 12-month range 0.20p-26.62p. The utility-grade energy storage manufacturer sells a battery system to Equans Belux, a Belgian multi-technical installations and maintenance services provider. The sale represents Invinity's maiden foray into the European market.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

DeepVerge PLC, down 40% at 3.35p, 12-month range 3.22p-33.00p. The Dublin-based environmental and life science group says there can be no guarantee it raises "sufficient equity funds", due to its low share price, as repayments for a loan fall due. It secured a GBP25 million loan in March, of which an initial GBP4 million was drawn. Monthly repayments begin on Monday, with an initial GBP500,000 due. DeepVerge says there will be no default on the loan despite any missed payments up to November 14, assuming principal and interest payments are made following a proposed equity raise. "In parallel with seeking to strengthen the balance sheet, the company is in the process of strengthening and reorganising the board to reflect the recent fast pace of growth and that expected in 2023 and beyond," it adds.
