LONDON (Alliance News) - Wound care company Advanced Medical Solutions Group PLC on Friday said the US Food & Drug Administration has granted premarket approval to two of its products.
Approvals have been given to the company's Surgical Silver Post Operative Dressing and PHMB Foam Dressing.
The Silver dressing is used for surgical wounds, and Advanced Medical said it has been show to be effective against bacteria with antibiotic resistance.
PHMB Foam also is used for surgical wounds and is protective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, but can be used for chronic injuries such as pressure sores, burns, and diabetic ulcers.
"These most recent approvals strengthen our advanced wound care portfolio in the US and provide further significant products...We are particularly pleased to be able to demonstrate the value of our research & development and regulatory capabilities which are a key pillar of our strategy to drive organic growth," said Advanced Medical Chief Executive Chris Meredith.
Shares in Advanced Medical were up 1.1% at 355.00 pence on Friday.
