Adriatic Metals Poaches Avesoro Resources Finance Chief Geoff Eyre

6th Jan 2020 10:53

(Alliance News) - Adriatic Metals PLC said Monday it has made two new management appointments, including Geoff Eyre as chief financial officer.

Eyre will replace Sean Duffy, who will be stepping down with effect on March 6 after three years in the role since 2017.

Eyre is currently chief financial officer of African gold producer Avesoro Resources PLC since 2016.

Adriatic Metals - a mining company which operates the Vares project in Bosnia & Herzegovina - also announced the appointment of Philip Cox as chief geologist.

He will be replacing Bob Arnett, who retired in 2019. Fox's most recent role was as project manager at Canada-based Toachi Mining Inc, which operates on the La Mina volcanogenic massive sulfide ore deposit in Ecuador.

"The addition of both Geoff and Phil to the senior management team at Adriatic clearly shows our intent to develop our existing assets into production, and expand our known resource base in this prolific district. I would personally like to thank Bob and Sean for their service to Adriatic, both joining the company early in its life and making a valuable contribution to its success," said Chief Executive Officer Paul Cronin.

Shares in Adriatic Metals - which is headquartered in Cheltenham - were down 1.7% at 91.00 pence on Monday in London.
