Acorn Minerals Continues To Assess Potential Investments

LONDON (Alliance News) - Acorn Minerals PLC on Wednesday said it is currently carrying out preliminary due diligence reviews on several projects that could lead to investment.

"In the past 12 months your board has continued to identify and assess suitable opportunities in the mining, minerals & energy sectors, including both conventional and alternative energy projects as well as mining and energy infrastructure projects that are consistent with our investment strategy," Executive Chairman Tony Brennan said in a statement.

Brennan said the company has to date reviewed well over 30 projects.

Acorn Minerals said its pretax loss narrowed to GBP34,378 pretax loss in the six months ended September 30, from GBP39,599 in the corresponding half the prior year.

The stock was untraded at 10.50 pence on Wednesday.
