HC Slingsby PLC - Shipley, West Yorkshire-based distributor of industrial and commercial equipment - Calls general meeting of shareholders for December 15 to approve the company's proposal to cancel its listing on the AIM market in London, saying it is in the "best interests of the company and its shareholders". It had announced the start of the formal sales process on February 11. "The board does not believe that continuing or expanding the formal sales process will deliver an outcome that would satisfactorily meet the interests of all stakeholders. The board therefore considers that it is in the interests of all shareholders to conclude the formal sales process at this stage and focus on the group's operations and strategy," Slingsby says.
