XCHANGING RECEIVES WORKERS' COMPENSATION UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT ACCREDITATION

Americas operations recognised by URAC for quality in managed care services

CHICAGO, 04 March 2010 - Xchanging plc (LSE:XCH), a large, fast-growing global business processor, announced today that its Americas operations (Cambridge Integrated Services Group Inc.),has been awarded Workers' Compensation Utilization Management Accreditation. This accreditation has been received from URAC, a Washington, DC based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.

The Workers' Compensation Utilization Management standards address the unique characteristics of workers' compensation utilization management and ensure quality oversight for this fast growing area of managed care. The standards are similar to the URAC Health Utilization Management standards but contain modifications that reflect the unique aspects of the workers' compensation environment and injured workers. Three states and the District of Columbia recognize this accreditation program in their workers' compensation regulations.

"By applying for and receiving URAC Utilization Management Accreditation, Xchanging has demonstrated a commitment to quality health care," said Alan P. Spielman, URAC president and CEO. "Quality health care is crucial to our nation's welfare and it is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards and undergo rigorous evaluation by an independent accrediting body."

Steven Beard, Head of Xchanging Americas region added, "Xchanging is honored to receive Utilization Management Accreditation from URAC. We are very pleased to be recognized in the industry for providing outstanding services. Such a distinction also underscores the quality of our work with customers, patients, payers, and providers by demonstrating compliance with national standards for utilization management."

Xchanging provides claims processing services to companies for their injured workers' compensation as well as other areas such as professional, auto, product, general and consumer warranty liability claims. The services include the initial claim intake, adjusting the claim, medical and non-medical bill review and claim payments. Xchanging runs a number of back-to-work, managed care and medical compensation schemes for a wide variety of customers in the USA, the UK and Australia.
