The contract is amajor validation of the performance of Eckoh's Speech Solutions division whohave been operating the service since December 2003. The service allows the customer to listen to live horse and dog racingcommentary and results as well as betting via the William Hill call centre; allon a single call to a single number - 08712 444666. As part of the new contract, Eckoh will further enhance the system with theintroduction of a speech-recognition based odds update service. Callers willalso have access to up-to the minute odds and results for any race, before goingon to place a bet.
