RNS Number : 5044B Westminster Group PLC 21 February 2011 21st February 2011 Westminster Group Plc: Contract Awards - worldwide £275,000 Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster' or 'the Group'), the AIM listed supplierof system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safetymarkets worldwide, is pleased to announce that it has secured a number of new contractawards from around the world with a combined total of £275,000. All of these contractshave been awarded in 2011, mostly in February, and will be delivered in H1. In addition to being a regular supplier to the UK Ministry of Justice, Westminsterhas secured orders for the provision of security surveillance and scanning equipmentto the Republic of Ireland Prison Service and the Scottish Prison Service, buildingon Westminster's growing reputation of providing security equipment to prisons,correctional establishments and custodial facilities. Westminster has secured orders to deliver explosive detection equipment to the UKnuclear decommissioning industry, scanning equipment to Algeria and Libya, blastprotection to a blue chip client in Egypt and a sophisticated remote controlled accesssystem for one of the UK's leading utility companies. In the banking sector, Westminster has also been contracted to provide additionalprotection to the National Bank of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa which is an extensionto the contract awarded in 2010 and in addition Westminster has been contracted tocarry out a full risk assessment and appraisal of the security systems within theNational Bank of Sudan. Further, Westminster has also been requested to undertake a risk assessment and securitysurvey at a high profile target site in North America. This project will involvea complete threat assessment of the site and the design of a sophisticated securitysolution to cover both the external and internal areas of the site against any formof assault or attack. The contract will be completed within the next two months.Following the assessment, Westminster will present a detailed programme of securitymeasures for consideration which, if accepted, could lead to a sizeable implementationprogramme.
