Waelz Kiln Slag (WKS) Update
Further to BMR's original announcement on 17 May 2016, and most recently on 8 August 2016, the Board has been involved in ongoing discussions with the Zambia Environmental Management Agency ("ZEMA") concerning its environmental project brief ("EPB") application in respect of selling Waelz Kiln Slag ("WKS").
ZEMA has requested that the EPB be upgraded to an environmental impact assessment ("EIA"), which would delay the start of WKS sales. As part of the ongoing discussions, BMR has therefore submitted to ZEMA a letter of appeal.
A further announcement will be released when appropriate.
Alex Borrelli, Chairman, commented:
"We remain confident that we will be able to sell the WKS in the near future and are hopeful our appeal to ZEMA will be successful. Our main focus is on the building of the processing plant which continues apace.
"We are currently in discussions with some excellent candidates for the role of project manager, an important position at the plant and expect to update shareholders shortly."
