VPhase plc
("VPhase" or the "Group")
VPhase new products CE marked
VPhase plc, (AIM:VPHA), a leading developer of energy saving products for residential and commercial properties, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary VPhase Smart Energy Limited has completed the approvals required to CE mark its new VPhase VX2 and VPhase VX5 voltage optimisation products.
The new products extend the number and type of properties and market footprint open to the Group's unique patented voltage optimisers and ensure that VPhase is the most cost effective and efficient voltage optimisation option in the domestic and small commercial premises market.
The VPhase VX2 is designed for homes and single phase installations of up to 10,000 kWh per annum. It can be integrated with a 6 way Consumer Unit making retrofit and installation with micro-generation quick and simple or with a 16 way distribution board making it easier to fit, particularly in new builds. The VPhase VX5 is designed for single phase installations of up to 30,000 kWh per annum and again is supplied with distribution boards. This product enables installation into commercial premises which use a single phase supply, such as shops, offices and pubs.
Both units come with an easy fix wall mounting bracket to reduce installation time and have a new retro styling with a power bar display, enabling users to monitor how the unit is working. As these new products are more versatile and easier to install, they have the ability to fit virtually all domestic consumer units in the UK.
Sales of the VPhase VX2 and VPhase VX5 will commence in November 2012 and the modular dedicated consumer units in December 2012.
Rick Smith, CEO of VPhase commented: "Increasing the addressable market for VPhase products and being able to offer our unique patented technology to small scale commercial businesses is another step in the development of the business and helps to underpin our growth plans for 2013."

About VPhase
VPhase plc is an energy efficiency technology company that launched the first domestic voltage optimisation device in the UK. The VPhase VX1 lowers the voltage in the home, reducing the energy consumption of many electrical appliances, saving money and reducing carbon emissions.
The VPhase device:
- has been proven to save up to 12% off home electricity bills;
- is easily installed by a qualified electrician;
- does not require a change in lifestyle or electricity supplier;
- is low cost, with a typical payback of under 5 years;
- has a 5 year manufacturer's warranty and an expected lifespan in excess of 25 years;
- can save up to 4.5 tonnes of CO2 over its 25+ year life;
- attaches to the consumer unit (fuse box) and regulates the voltage to 220 volts;
- is the next most affordable and effective green option for the home, after insulation.
The VPhase VX1 has been extensively tested with independent verification supporting the saving claims, including an Ofgem approved CERT demonstration action, social housing trials and a range of independent consumer trials. Many electrical appliances in the home will benefit from having their voltage optimised and reduced, including fridges, freezers, central heating pumps, televisions, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, etc. - and even 'energy-saving' light bulbs. As well as reducing the homes electricity bill, there is evidence that the life of electrical appliances can be extended by the use of this product; light bulbs in particular, have demonstrated at least a doubling of operating life when on a voltage optimised circuit.
