Verizon Wireless Brings 'COW' to 2007 Creation Festival

Verizon Wireless has brought a temporary cell site--called a COW,or Cell On Wheels--to the Agape Farm in Huntingdon County, Pa., toprovide additional network calling capacity for the thousands ofpeople expected to flock to the region to enjoy the Creation Festivalevent, which runs June 27 through June 30. £ This service enhancement means that more customers can use theVerizon Wireless network concurrently, whether making voice calls orusing data applications such as TXT and Picture Messaging, ordownloading games and ringtones with the company's Get It Now(R)services. £ "The Creation Festival attracts thousands of visitors and thatmeans additional demand for wireless service, even though it may befor just a few days," said Roger Tang-president,Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region, Verizon Wireless.
