External Directorships
Centrica plc ("Centrica") today announces that Nick Luff, Finance Director and Mark Hanafin, Managing Director Centrica Energy and Europe, were appointed as directors of Venture Production plc ("Venture") and assumed their positions on the Board with effect from 27 August 2009.
These changes to the composition of the Venture Board have taken place as a result of the successful final cash offer made by Centrica Resources (UK) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centrica, for Venture.
Centrica also confirms that there are no disclosures under paragraph 9.6.13R (1)-(6) of the Listing Rules for the directors who have been appointed to the Venture Board.
