United Business Media plc ("UBM") Deregistration of ordinary shares from USSecurities and Exchange CommissionUBM announces that it has today filed notification with the US Securities andExchange Commission ("SEC"), terminating the registration of its ordinaryshares under the US Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Deregistration will occur90 days after filing or within such shorter period as the SEC may determine.Under current rules, the number of UBM's US resident shareholders must remainbelow 300 at the end of each financial year in order for UBM to remain exemptfrom SEC registration. UBM's Articles of Association allow its directors tolimit ownership of shares by US resident shareholders, whether they hold sharesdirectly or through nominees, by requiring these shareholders to sell theirshares.
