Thor Mining PLC11 May 2007 THOR MINING PLC URANIUM UPDATE Dated: 11 May 2007 Thor Mining PLC ("the Company" or "Thor") AIM, ASX: "THR", the specialist metalscompany focused on advancing tungsten-molybdenum and uranium projects in theNorthern Territory of Australia, announces today that air core drilling willcommence on 13 May at its 100% owned Hale River Project ("Hale River"). TheCentral Land Council and representatives of the traditional people of the areawere on site on Wednesday 9 May and Thursday 10 May. Thor has today receivedverbal approval for approximately 90% of all drilling sites. The MiningManagement Plan for the initial work programme has also been approved by theDepartment of Primary Industries Fisheries and Minerals. The final report on the Hale River Hoist EM interpretation from the Company'sconsultants resulted in six prospective areas being identified along southeasterly striking palaeo-channels, with depth to basement estimated between 45mand 130m. These channels also contain irregular flat conductive carbonaceoussedimentary units, which are an important component for the localisation ofsecondary uranium mineralisation. Orbit Drilling Pty Ltd have been contracted to complete the 47 hole, 3,000m aircore drilling programme. Drilling results should be available in approximatelysix weeks. Approvals have also been sought for drilling on the Plenty River Project,located to the north east of Hale River.
