Update - VAT repayment claim

Following the announcement on 31 May 2013 that the First-tier Tax Tribunal ("FTT") had refused Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs ("HMRC") permission to appeal against the decision of FTT, HMRC have informed Sportech that they have applied directly to the Upper Tribunal for permission to appeal against the decision of the FTT.

Sportech has been advised that it should expect to hear whether HMRC have been granted the right to appeal in approximately 4 weeks.

The Group will update shareholders as soon as more information is available.
