SHARE BUYBACK

Transaction in Own Shares

Sports Direct announces that on 28 July 2016 it purchased 365,957 of its ordinary shares from Citigroup Global Markets Limited (acting as the Company's broker) at a price of 285.2 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 42,503,465 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 598,098,904.
