Update regarding Energia del Sur, S.A. ("EdS")
Further to the announcement of 27 April 2017, the Directors of Rurelec (AIM:RUR), the owner, operator and developer of power generation capacity in South America, have been informed that the 136 MW CCGT power plant in Southern Patagonia, Argentina, has been repaired, and successfully tested. Normal generating operations have resumed. As a result of the period during which the plant was not generating, EdS has experienced a reduction of revenue and cash reserves, resulting in missed and delayed expected loan repayments to Rurelec, however payments have now resumed.
