Update on warranty claim

Warranty Claim against

Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH ("Sanofi")

18th June, 2010 Proteome Sciences plc ("the company") is pleased to have received notification from the Civil Division of the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt ("the Court") that the Court now intends to take witness evidence at the end of July, 2010 in connection with the company's warranty claim against Sanofi. It is not anticipated that a decision will be immediately forthcoming from that hearing.

The company continues to believe that it has a strong claim against Sanofi and it will keep shareholders fully informed of further developments.
