Update on Senawang Facility
Graphene NanoChem (AIM: GRPH), the performance nanochemicals and advanced materials company, is pleased to announce an update on the expansion of its Senawang Chemical Facility from which it produces its second generation biofuels and speciality chemicals targeting the oilfield services market.
The expansion of the Senawang Chemicals Facility near Kuala Lumpur progressed to plan and recommissioning of the facility will commence on 23 December 2013, with production on target to restart on 1 February 2014.
The upgrade of the Senawang facility will increase the production capacity of speciality chemicals to 120,000 tonnes per annum, whilst also improving efficiency both in the production and in the processing of feedstock. In turn, this will reduce the overall operating cost at the facility thereby increasing margins.
Jespal Deol, Chief Executive Officer of Graphene NanoChem, commented: "We are very pleased to announce the completion of the expansion of the Senawang Facility. This will enable us to meet the increase in demand for our products in 2014 and beyond and we look forward to start the new year with expanded capability."
