DAT Group PLC10 June 2005 For immediate release, 10 June 2005 DAT GROUP PLC UPDATE ON CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS The Board of DAT Group plc ("DAT" or "the Company"), a developer and licenser ofmobile device management software, has noted recent press speculation concerningpotential contracts with customers and wishes to update shareholders onprogress. The Company confirms that it is involved in contract negotiations witha number of existing and potential customers for contracts that would bematerial for DAT at this stage of its development. The majority of thesenegotiations are with very large international companies for the provision ofimportant products and services and are key building blocks for DAT in theexecution of its business plans. As a result the negotiations are involved,lengthy and commercially sensitive for the customers as well as influencing DATrevenue recognition. DAT will announce material contract wins as and when they are signed. Stockmarket expectations of revenue and profitability for the current year are basedon the successful conclusion of a number of the present negotiations. TheCompany cannot predict with certainty the time frame within which new contractswill be signed and therefore the time frame for revenue recognition. Based oncurrent contract activity the Board is confident that progress is being made insecuring the long term key building blocks to execute DAT's business plans.
