Baomahun islocated about 180 km east of the capital, Freetown, in the Southern Province ofthe country. Recent soil sampling has identified 5 zones of anomalous goldmineralisation with a combined strike length of 3.4 km. To date ten core holes, programmed to confirm previous exploration drillingresults and determine additional possible strike extensions to knownmineralisation, have been completed on the Eastern Zone, one of three structureswhich have been mined in the past. Below is a table of some of the significantintersections. The report will also incorporate sometwenty-nine core holes which were drilled in the past. The drill programme is behind schedule as a result of mechanical break downsexperienced by the drilling contractor. The Company is in the process ofmobilising a second drill rig from neighbouring Guinea to expedite the drillingprogramme. A drilling contract has been signed with Boart Longyear Inc aftermonths of waiting for rig availability. Douglas Chikohora, Technical Director of Cluff Gold plc, comments, '"We areencouraged by the assay results from this part of the Eastern Zone. The drilledportion represents less than 10% of the known gold in soil anomaly at Baomahunand 80% of the holes drilled to date have intersected significantmineralisation. While we would prefer to have been further advanced in thedrilling programme, we are pleased that the second drill rig will be onsite andoperating as soon as possible." Cluff has a right to earn a 60% interest in Baomahun by funding the project tothe completion of a bankable feasibility study or to a maximum of US$5 million. This right is to be acquired from Winston Mines which owns the two explorationlicences relating to Baomahun covering an area of approximately 137 km(2).
