Cluff Gold PLC18 April 2007 Cluff Gold plc ("Cluff Gold" or the "Company") Drilling update at Baomahun Gold Project, Sierra Leone Highlights: • Fold hinge area at Baomahun yields high grade intercepts • Drill hole DDH103 intersects 22 metres grading 11.53g/t Au, including 5m@ 25g/t Au • Data compilation for an interim resource update underway • Second core rig commissioned on 16th April • Drilling rate with second rig to increase to between 300 and 400 metres daily Cluff Gold today announces further encouraging drilling results from theBaomahun Gold Project ('Baomahun') in Sierra Leone, where more than a quarter ofthe planned 30,000 metres of core drilling has been completed. The totalprogramme will consist of 15,000 metres of infill drilling and 15,000 metres ofnew exploration drilling. The infill drilling has been designed to produce a 25 metre spaced grid on theEastern, Central and Western Zones and the focus so far has been on the southernarea of the Central Zone and an area around the eastern limits of theinterpreted fold, between the Central and Eastern Zones. Other drilling hasin-filled between the existing inferred resource drilling on the Central Zone. The exploration drilling is focussed on the identification of possibleextensions to the Western Zone and on the fold-hinge area between the Centraland Eastern Zones. Assay results from several holes drilled in the newfold-hinge area are being received. The fold-hinge area will be included in theinterim resource update currently underway. The Company also announced recently that it has requested bids from variousconsultants to undertake a pre-feasibility study on Baomahun and the decision onan appointment will be made before the end of April. The study will look at thevarious mine development options and issues raised in the study would beaddressed in a full feasibility study planned for 2008. The pre-feasibilitystudy is planned to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2007.
