Update: Acquisition of up to 29.9% holding in Hastings Group Holdings plc by RMI

Peel Hunt LLP announces that completion of the acquisition of 196,508,074 shares in Hastings Group Holdings plc ("HSTG"), representing a 29.9% shareholding, (previously announced by HSTG and Rand Merchant Investment Holdings Limited ("RMI") on 21 February 2017) by RMI and its wholly owned subsidiary Main Street 1353 Proprietary Limited at the agreed price is being effected through a market trade today, for normal T + 2 settlement
