Turbo Power Systems US$3.2m Rail Order
Turbo Power Systems Inc ("TPS" or "the Company") is pleased to announce a spare parts purchase order from Bombardier Transportation worth US$3.2m.
The order forms part of the US$14.2m contract to supply the Chicago Transit Authority with auxiliary power units for its new fleet of metro subway cars. The original agreement included a number of options, one of which was to purchase spare parts, which Bombardier Transportation has now activated.
This phase of the order is expected to be fulfilled during 2013 and 2014.
Carlos Neves, Chief Executive of Turbo Power Systems said:
"This important order builds upon our original contract some five years ago to supply Bombardier Transportation with auxiliary power units for the Chicago Transit Authority's fleet of metro subway cars, in what was then our largest single rail order. We have since supplied over 300 units under this contract.
We are delighted to extend our relationship with Bombardier Transportation through this new order."
