Board Changes

TPS, the innovative high-speed electrical machines and power electronic systems provider, announces the appointment of Mr. Fernando Senhora and Mr. Alexandre Aigner as non-executive directors of the Company, whilst Mr. José Francisco de Azevedo, Chairman of the Company, has stepped down from the Board. Mr. Senhora and Mr. Aigner, as was Mr. Azevedo, are representatives of Vale Soluções em Energia S.A. ("VSE"), a sustainable energy solutions company and the ultimate controlling shareholder of TAO Sustainable Power Solutions (UK) Limited. These changes will also be effective in respect of the Company's subsidiary, Turbo Power Systems Limited.

Mr. Senhora, aged 46, currently serves as a Chief Executive Officer of VSE. Mr. Senhora has 23 years' experience in planning, operations, finance, marketing, and procurement across Vale S.A. ("Vale") and Coca-Cola S/A. Mr. Senhora will be appointed as Chairman of TPS.

Mr. Aigner, aged 44, is currently a director of Vale Oil & Gas S.A., a subsidiary of Vale, and has served in a number of roles within Vale. Mr. Aigner has 22 years' experience in international trade, cover strategy, sales, marketing and logistics mainly in the mining and energy sectors. Prior to joining Vale in 2001, Mr. Aigner held positions within A.P. Moller/Maersk in Brazil.

Following the above appointments, the board of directors of the Company will comprise of: four non-executive directors, being Mr. Fernando Senhora (Chairman), Mr. Alexandre Aigner, Mr. Colin Besant, and Mr. Ric Piper.

Further information

Neither Mr. Senhora nor Mr. Aigner have a beneficial interest in the share capital of the Company. Mr. Aigner is currently a director of: Vale Oil & Gas S.A., Vale Energia S.A., VSE and Biopalma de Amazonia S.A.
