Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on 4th November 2008, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share option scheme allotments

18,000 ordinary shares at 43 .75 pence per share

302 ordinary shares at 43 .75 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 85,617,314

Ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,257,838,382.
