Spectris plcTransfer of Treasury Shares

Spectris plc announces that on 27th April 2012, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share option allotments under the Spectris Performance Share Plan and the Spectris Savings Related Share Option Scheme:

15,309 shares at 5 pence per share (PSP)

125 shares at 765.5 pence per share (SAYE)

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary shares in issue (excluding the total of 7,783,867 ordinary shares now held in treasury) is 117,221,256.
