TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 13 February 2008 it transferred 11,550 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy awards under the `Hays plc 2004 Long Term Co-Investment Plan'.

Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 60,228,743 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,403,867,823 (excluding treasury shares).
