HAYS PLC TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 14 February 2007 it transferred 2,159 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy the maturity of the Hays plc UK Sharesave Scheme. 2159 shares were transferred at nil cost.
Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 106,439,841 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,457,656,725 (excluding treasury shares).
