Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on August 6th, 2009 the following ordinary shares have been transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share scheme allotments:

26,973 ordinary shares at 0.7 pence per share

47,147 ordinary shares at 1.0264 pence per share

7,500 ordinary shares at 1.055 pence per share

53,318 ordinary shares at 0.47 pence per share

53,947 ordinary shares at 0.40 pence per share

40,460 ordinary shares at 0.30 pence per share

28,502 ordinary shares at 0.25 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 76,937,589 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,267,118,107.
