HAYS PLC TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 22 December 2006 it transferred 209,434 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy the Hays plc Long-Term Co-Investment Plan maturity and sale of `matching shares'.
Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 102,322,280 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,461,774,286 (excluding treasury shares).
