TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
Amlin plc ("Amlin") announces that on 2 December 2008 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each ("ordinary shares"):
42,591 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 110.82 pence per share;
6,382 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 146.49 pence per share;
41,216 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 152.85 pence per share; and
33,760 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share
Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 9,084,605 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 469,488,834 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
