TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Company hereby notifies you that on 16 March 2010 it transferred 16,525 Ordinary shares held in Treasury to one participant (non-PDMR) to satisfy the early exercise of an option under the Hays plc Sharesave Scheme.

Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 80,375,257 Ordinary shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,383,721,309 (excluding treasury shares).
