TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 25 April 2007 it transferred 252,055 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy an award under the `Hays plc 1995 Executive Share Option Scheme' and the `Hays plc 1996 Company Share Option Plan'.

Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 107,891,229 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,456,205,337 (excluding treasury shares).
