TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 28 December 2007 it transferred 85,314 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy awards under the `Hays plc 1995 Long Term Co-Investment Plan'.

Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 52,013,611 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,412,082,955 (excluding treasury shares).
