Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on 5th September 2008, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share option scheme allotments

3,750 ordinary shares at 105.50 pence per share

1,875 ordinary shares at 100.50 pence per share

8,992 ordinary shares at 70.00 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 82,814,689

Ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,261,241,007.
