Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on 8th December 2008, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share option scheme allotments:

1,956 ordinary shares at 90.95 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 89,255,214 

Ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,254,800,482.
