Transfer of Treasury Shares

Spectris plc announces that on 1 February 2013, the following ordinary shareswere transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share optionallotments under the Spectris Performance Share Plan:

6,650 shares at 5 pence per share

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary sharesin issue (excluding the total of 7,584,608 ordinary shares now held intreasury) is 117,420,515.
