Transfer of Treasury Shares

Spectris plc announces that on 17 January 2013, the following ordinary shareswere transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share optionallotments under the Spectris Savings Related Share Option Scheme:

376 shares at 723 pence per share

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary sharesin issue (excluding the total of 7,611,501 ordinary shares now held intreasury) is 117,393,622.
